Stunning Sapphire And Diamond Earrings

Available for your consideration is a magnificent pair of natural blue sapphire and diamond earrings.  Each open-backed, hoop-style earring features six baguette blue sapphires and four round brilliant cut diamonds.  Each sapphire gemstone has a dark, slightly grayish blue hue and measures approximately 2.0 x 3.5 mm.  The estimated total sapphire weight is 1.50 carats.  Each round brilliant cut diamonds measures between approximate 2.2mm and 2.3mm for a total estimated diamond weight of 0.40 carats.  The average estimated diamond qualities are SI2 – I1 clarities and H-I-J color grade ranges.

These incredible estate pieces are 14K yellow gold.  The total estimated gold weight is 5.0 grams.  Each earring measures approximately 3/4” high x 3/16” wide.  They have a pierced-style back.  The earrings were appraised by a GIA-Certified appraiser on June 6, 2001.  At that time, the appraised value was $1,000.00.  Since that time, the price of diamonds, sapphires and gold has increased considerably.  Accordingly, the earrings are expected to appraise at a higher value than they did in 2001.
