Louis Vuitton Graffiti Hat Box Trunk Case 30 Rare

Louis Vuitton Graffiti Hat box the most extremely limited model of the limited Graffiti line designed by pop artist Stephen Sprouse in collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2001 collection. Sprouse died in 2004 and this is now one of the most collectible items we have ever offered. It is in mint condition (read condition report below) We will also have the Graffiti Hat Box in white. We have never seen one available online and for those not familiar with this collection this was an amazing triumph from the start. The fashion show launching it was a spectacular moment in fashion history and for the first time Louis Vuitton's historic Monogram had become a canvas for creative expression, and the start of a series of celebrated collaborations with contemporary artists. Weeks later the graffiti bags  sold out of Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and were already collector's items. This , the hat box being the most sought after item of all. The hat box features the graffiti text across the traditional monogram that Louis Vuitton had become known for. The hat box in the 30 size was the only size sold by LV in limited quantities, the larger sizes were only by special order and purchased mostly by Rock artists and movie stars.

“For me, this monogram graffiti was the first milestone of our permanent reinvention of our history,” said Vuitton president and chief executive officer Yves Carcelle.

Condition: Excellent condition; inside and out. Interior is spotless and leather trims and handle in exceptional light condition as well as strong and with no loose stitches. No fading to the Graffiti letters or the Monogram and a slight darkened area on the interior top lid where the opening is, otherwise in perfect condition with not one flaw.
